Zodiac Signs

Zodiac signs have always been a staple in pop culture. You will often see them in Magazines, newspapers and even some television shows include them in their programs. It has been a subject of conversation between children and adults alike, and never has seemed to dwindle through the generations. People usually have the wrong notion that when for example they are born under the sign of aries, they are in fact an “aries” but technically they are only born with the sun in aries. The Sun’s motion against the stars each year, which is directly related to the Earth’s orbit around it appears to create a large, circle in the sky that is called “Ecliptic”. The Zodiac would be the part of the sky in both sides of the Ecliptic.

Zodiac signs are a group of stars that make out an animal, person or mythical creature. Within the Zodiac there are 12 signs that are Aries, Taurus, Gemeni, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Saguittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. These 12 signs have different traits:

Aries (March 21-April 20) - People born under this sign are set out in their ways. They have a warrior attitude that comes along with the motto of “If there is no way, then make a way”. Natural leaders and always wanting to be in control, their downside is that they have a problem with authority and can’t handle being told what to do ( I should know, I am an Aries myself).

Taurus (April 21- May 20) - Like the bull in the meadow, people born under this sign are tranquil and peaceful. Very tolerant of little nuances, they tend to be very loving and quite reliable. The general trait is that they are very laid back and will take their time to think before deciding on any course of action.

Gemeni (May 21- June 20)- These people tend to be very unpredictable and usually have two minds on different matters. Friendly and witty, People born under this sign are usually the life of the party. You will find them conversing with people of different cultures and background and make it look really easy.

Cancer ( May 21- July 22) – One of the most anti-social amongst the Zodiac, They tend to hide in their solitary shells. Very sensitive to their own feelings as well as others, usually quiet but will no doubt tend to the needs of others which is why people love pouring out their problems to them. In spite of their introvert nature, they can be very creative most of the time although can become moody.

Leo (July 23- August 22)- Always in the spotlight or wanting to be in it , These people tend to be very helpful of others and wanting to do great things and at the same time wanting credit and acknowledgement for it. They are very kind and have very big hearts and also give a lot of importance to loyalty.

Virgo (August 23- September 23)- The love for knowledge and its application is what defines people born under Virgo. Extremely intelligent and not afraid to use it, they are obviously very reliable when a job has to be done. Though this also has a downside as they tend to forget to enjoy, relax and have time for themselves.

Libra (September 24 – October 23)- These People want every thing to be peaceful, harmonious and fair. They are never quick to judge and want a balance in everything around them and everything that they do. Though indecisive, they only look at all angles until they arrive at a just and firm decision.

Scorpio (October 24- November 21)- The perseverance of these people are incredible uncanny. When they have set their mind on a particular goal, there is nothing that can dissuade them or lower their moral. People may see them as very intense and mysterious and can handle themselves will in the face of adversity.

Sagittarius (November 22- December 21)- The most adventurous of them all, people under this sign see beyond the horizon and like the surprises of being somewhere out of their element for being uncomfortable is their comfort. With great enthusiasm, they look for the deeper meaning in life and head out into the world with their head held high.

Capricorn (December 22- January 19)- They tend to be very ambitious but go about it in a safe way, sure way. They embrace responsibility with such tenacity and seem to be always on the go. Nothing is left undone when it comes to them.

Aquarius (January 19- February 18)- You are most likely to be friends with someone born under Aquarius, as they are very social and friendly. They love mixing with different types of people and simply love a good conversation. This friendliness is only reached to a certain point, as they tend to be fearful of commitment and shy away when getting to close with someone.

Pisces (February 19- March 20)- The daydreamers of the world, you will usually find them to be very imaginative and like losing themselves in a world of fantasy. They cannot be easily deceived but can do so to themselves. Being imaginative, they will always look for a release of their creativity.
